Catching Up....

A brief summary of what I've been up to lately....

arcata community garden buddha 1

July - Went to Arcata to bum around on beaches, shop for used books and take photos.

October - Went back east to Ft. Wayne, Indiana to watch my nephew play one of his last football games. Unfortunately he sprained his ankle in a game the week before I got there and was out for the next three games.

Went to some weird gypsy event where I had my fortune divined. Nothing she said resonated with me, including her theory that I was craving feminine energy but was holding back due to an attachment to archaic beliefs.

November - Went on a poetry binge in Berkeley and ate raw, vegan "Live Nachos" at Cafe Gratitude. The nachos consisted of flax chips with spicy sunflower seed “refried beans” on a bed of mixed greens with guacamole, salsa, & cashew nacho cheese.

Saw Keller William's play an intimate show at the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico. Was able to walk right up to the edge of the stage and freely snap as many photos as I liked as long as the flash didn't go off.

I stole an idea from my parents and put some of my favorite rocks in a shadow box on the wall.

Thanks for the update. The photo of the Live Nachos makes me hungry for some delicious food. And the shadow box ... yes. I want one too.

I'm in love with your rock display. We don't have cool rocks in Kentucky. :^P I have a shelf like that back in PA that is filled with miniature animal figurines.

AAAA Ft Wayne?? You were only 4 1/2 hours away from us! So close and yet so far away.

The most memorable Christmas gift that I received from my folks was when I was around ten; they gave me a box of rock/mineral samples.
