On Top of Table Mountain

Yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] whosplittheatom, [livejournal.com profile] metalgypsy, the Birdman and I drove up to Table Mountain to take in the beauty. The sun went down on us pretty fast. When we tried to make our way back to the car in the dark we got sucked into a watery, cow-dung bog. Fortunately, it was worth it.

I'm not a big nature photo fan, but these ones are gorgeous. Especially the first one. It's adding to my spring fever!

these pics make me want to throw on a sundress, put flowers in my hair, smoke a lot of weed, and become a nature enjoying hippie! WOWZAS

we got sucked into a watery, cow-dung bog<<

That's totally gross...
Brings to mind a quote from Goonies:
"I like the dark. I love the dark... But I hate nature! I HATE nature!"

I knew that would happen. That's why I didn't go. It was too late in the day.

You're lucky there were no alligators in that bog.

lovely colours! so very vivid. It is like a bleak, gray wasteland here in the north still. We've got a few (very few) inches of green poking through the muck. Snow due tonight. Next week though it is due to get warm...and maybe by the end of the month we'll get some flowers.

I'm thinking of buying a rebel XT - used. Getting a few lenses, but I still love my G6. What have you been shooting with these days?

mmm, these are dreamy. And those first two especially look so WARM. I've been sleeping with mittens on for the past few months and warm looks sooo good right now. I'm jealous

holy cow

Nice work, I particularly like the first two and #4. Are they blue bells or blue balls? Good stuff. I'm off to Washington DC tonight for a rally, march on the Pentagon tomorrow. Maybe I can get some photos of cherry blossoms, or turd bushes. Hope I don't get stuck in a Republican cow-dung bog.

The HILLS are alive....
with the sound of music
Aahhh
ahhh
ahh
ah

Tell me you weren't just a little bit tempted to spread your arms and spin around in circles, singing at the top of your lungs!

Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.
