Why Can't I Get Wired Like Normal People?

Yesterday at work a co-worker gave me an energy drink called "Full Throttle." That was a mistake. I felt sort-of good for a while, then nauseated, then shaky, then irritable, then all out mentally ill.

I couldn't come down off this stuff for the life of me. I spent most of last night tossing and turning in bed, feeling strange and ill.

I'm the same way with those kind of drinks. I find it kind of odd though because I'm a coffee drinker, so you'd think I would have a bit of a resistance to stuff like that. Instead I always feel shakey and disconnected. Sobe No Fear is the only one I can handle and then I have to drink lots of water with it or I still feel off.

You're not alone

One morning I was super groggy. I stopped on the way to the hospital and grabbed one of those things so I could be sharp because I had to help put in a pacemaker (which can take 2-3 hours) at 6 am. I was sweaty, jittery and nauseated for most of the day. Bleh. I drank a lot of water to try and flush it out.

I drink Monster energy drinks sometimes when I have to work on little sleep and I feel just fine during and afterwards.

But the question we all want to know is did the drink make you feel any different than usual?
