of course, Joan Jett was at a fucking rib burn-off in Canton. which is sad. but she was great.

in a couple of freaky coincidences, while i didn't know either of them at the time, i later found out that waxpumpkin and myself attended the same queers show, and that shunthepunman was at the mike watt show i attended.

Watt wasn't touring an album on that tour, so he just went out to play a bunch of covers along with Minutemen and fIREHOSE songs and a couple from the "Ball-Hog" album. one of the best shows i've been to.

the Dead Milkmen weren't actually fucking. they were just fucking rocking. when did you see them? i saw the first of the two dave blood memorial shows in philly last november, i wasn't old enough (or aware of them) to have seen them when they were around.

I saw The Dead Milkmen in the Student Union at Indiana University in like 1988 or 1989.
