Oh man. I'm recovering from an emotional week.

Sunday I had to take one of my cats to the emergency animal hospital. Apparently a raccoon or a small dog bit his face. I may have over-reacted....

Tuesday I drove some very good friends to the Sacramento airport. They are moving to Buffalo, NY and leaving a huge void in my life....

Then yesterday I got sucked into a whirlpool of anger and resentment against a rental car employee. Unfortunatly it took two bottles of Mike's Hard Lemonade for me to let it go.....

This weekend I'm driving to Fresno to see a friend o' mine and we are going to canoe a portion of the San Joaquim river.

I can't stop watching Stop Making Sense.

Escapism. Can't figure out if it rules or sucks.....

Damn! I was hoping you'd be around this weekend. Because, speaking of escaping, the in-laws are here this weekend (which starts today - Thursday and ends Monday...) and I NEED to get away from them! So far I've collectively spent like, ten minutes with them, and I'm already going crazy! But enough about me...
Is kitty ok? And are you no longer driving to Buffalo? I'm sorry you're friends had to move, but I know a couple of kids that might be able to partially fill that void ;-)

"Stop making sense"? Is it a generational thing? Am I missing something? Sorry about the week, hope you recover soon. Since you said you may have over reacted I assume kitty is ok. I know you will miss those kids, be strong and get your studies done, graduate and start school again so you can start a carrier writing and teaching.
We are "farm sitting", for Bruce and Molly, feed the horses twice a day, the cats as needed. We both took vacation and am spending the days and nights up here at their place, we have both been reading and I, off and on, doing water colors and napping. Great, and I mean it, vacation.
We will try to call tonight 7/1/04. I'm so glad we have handed sovereignty back to the people of Iraq, now maybe we could attack another country, how about that pesky old Castro's Cuba.
