Humility in the Pavement
Jul. 8th, 2005 01:26 pmA few years ago I was walking through the park when I noticed that instead of the usual crass verbiage carved into wet cement, someone had carved the word Sorry. I love this idea and every time I pass it I wonder who did that and what they were sorry for.

I've tried to photograph the Sorry in the pavement several times but I've never been able to get a good image of it because it's pretty faint. Luckily, there's a time of year when organic debris falls and fills up every crevice in the pavement, making the apology more pronounced. I saturated the photo a bit to make it even more vivid.
