The 24hr Drive By Gallery in Chico is putting on a community participation art fundraiser. The gallery created large wall size puzzles of interlocking wooden puzzle pieces and the public was invited to pay $10 for a puzzle piece and decorate it any way they want. The pieces are due back tomorrow and will be re-assembled for a one week showing beginning Saturday, May 27 and running through June 2, 2006, on which day there will be a silent auction for the pieces.

dietcokehed and I are both participating in this show. I just finished up my piece today.

That's really effin' cool!! You so rock :) I have yet to get by there...tomorrow fo' sho' dammit. I also didn't get a pic of mine, think they'd care if I took a pic at the gallery? Is that kosher? (NOT literally "kosher" for all you smart asses out here waiting to make fun of me)

My piece ended up right next to a multi-colored, feathered abomination. I kind-of disappointed about that, but oh well.

I'm pretty sure they'll let you take a picture since it's not a standard showing.

I may know of this feathered abomination...when I dropped mine off they were having a problem with one of the pieces someone clearly didn't follow the rules on...feathers flying upward, something hanging down, and it looked kinda like a bird...
