ya know, here in mendocino county is a young woman (i haven't seen her in a few years), named karma who i babysat for a few times when i pregnant with my oldest , ari, and always considered her mine as well as her mom's, cuz, sometimes it just feels like that.she and her mom lived in a school bus in the middle of a field and then in a tipi in the same field, and i once lived in that same field in that same tipi with that baby in my arms and not in my belly and karma would come over and sit very careful so she could hold the baby. i think she might have been all of 18 months at the time. sounds like yr sister was that same kinda mama. both karmas were blue eyed blondes. she looks delicious of spirit with her soul poppin' out of her eyes like that... thank you for sharing yr photo...
Thanks Robin, your words mean a lot to me. I want to write about her....it's just hard, I feel very empty right now. I will write as soon as I am able.
I understand the difficulty in wanting/not wanting to write memoirs that cause us pain. Sometimes I'll just sit at the computer and cry and cry while I'm writing, but it feels better in the end, once it's out. Though I usually find myself bawling again when I read it over later....
